(Austin, TX) — A lawsuit is being filed over Texas’ new fetal remains regulations.
The Center for Reproductive Rights filed the suit today, calling the new regulations “an insult” to mothers.
The Department of State Health Services introduced the regulations over the summer, which require hospitals and abortion providers to bury or cremate the remains of unborn babies.
They were supposed to go into effect next week.
The group also calls the rules “a new low” and claims they deny women “the respect that they deserve” over healthcare.
