(Austin, TX) — A Texas judge is ordering the a school district to allow a religious message from a “Charlie Brown Christmas” to be re-posted to the door of a school nurse.
State Attorney General Ken Paxton sued the Killeen school district this week arguing the original six-foot poster was free speech and not an imposition of religious views on public school students.
The drawing depicted the “Peanuts” character Linus explaining the meaning of Christmas by quoting a Bible verse.
The re-instated message will now also read “Ms. Shannon’s Christmas Message.”
But it won’t be seen for very long because Killeen schools let out for the holidays today.
