Texans Signing Up For Health Insurance Despite Trump Threat

(Undated)  —  More than 220-thousand Texans are taking advantage of the open enrollment period by signing up for health care insurance on the federal exchange.

November sign-up figures were released yesterday by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

Nationally, over two-million people enrolled last month, considerably ahead of the previous three years.

All of this despite a pledge by President-elect Donald Trump to repeal the Affordable Care Act, and in particular the federal subsidies that help Americans pay the insurance premiums.
