Police Push Out White Nationalist Speaker Protesters At Texas A&M

(College Station, TX)  —  Riot police cleared everyone out of the Texas A&M student union as white nationalist Richard Spencer spoke at the university last night.

People in a crowd that grew from dozens to hundreds moved into the Memorial Student Center before troopers with the Texas Department of Public Safety pushed them out of them building.

Police also told people who weren’t protesting to leave.

University officials earlier condemned Spencer’s views and organized a rally they called “Aggies United.”

They said freedom-of-speech principles kept them from canceling Spencer’s speech.
