(Charleston, SC) — Testimony is set to resume this morning in the trial of a man accused of gunning down nine people in a hate motivated attack at a black church in South Carolina.
The jury in Dylann Roof’s trial yesterday saw some graphic images of the crime scene.
Roof is charged with 33 federal counts including hate crimes and weapons charges.
He faces the death penalty or life in prison.
Also happening yesterday, the federal judge hearing the case denied a motion for a mistrial.
The judge’s ruling came after the defense filed a motion for a mistrial based on the testimony of a witness who referred to Roof as “evil.”
