(Miami, FL) — Florida Governor Rick Scott is lifting the Zika warning on Miami Beach.
Scott was upbeat as he made the announcement from the beach this morning, surrounded by city and state health officials.
The Miami Beach announcement comes after more than 45 days of being Zika-free.
The area is the last transmission zone in South Florida.
Florida’s surgeon general said people should continue to wear mosquito repellant and drain standing water.
