(Galveston, TX) — We won’t know until later this month, but cruises from Galveston to Cuba could be coming in 2017.
Royal Caribbean Cruises announced yesterday the Cuban government has granted approval for the company to begin trips to the island next year.
Miami is most frequently mentioned as an embarkation point, but Royal Caribbean also serves Galveston with frequent seven-day cruises that are easily within range of Havana.
The company says it will announce its new itineraries later this month.
