Houston-Area Teacher Accused Of Punching Student In Face

(Houston, TX)  —  A teacher in the Alief school district is facing a felony injury to a child charge for allegedly punching her student in the face.  The incident was reportedly captured on camera earlier this month at Landis Elementary School.  Court documents quote 48-year-old Lisa Allison as saying, “I’m tired of you” as she escorted a student out of her classroom.  The video allegedly shows the student trying to walk away from the teacher when she grabs him, they struggle and she punches him in the face.  The video allegedly shows the teacher sitting on top of the student until administrators arrive and tell her to get off.  The Alief ISD says Allison was put on leave and will not be returning.
