Dakota Pipeline Protests Extend To Texas Today

(Austin, TX) — A much smaller version of the Dakota pipeline protests is coming to a Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission board meeting today in Austin.

The “Austin American-Statesman” reports activists from several groups, including Earth Guardians of El Paso and the Society of Native Nations, will be at the board meeting called to discuss threats made to one of the commissioners, Energy Transfers Partners CEO Kelcy Warren.

Warren’s company is building the Dakota Access Pipeline in the Great Plains and the Trans-Pecos pipeline in the Big Bend region.
