(Austin, TX) — The Texas Department of Criminal Justice is reviewing threatening anti-transgender remarks allegedly made by TDCJ employees on social media.
The “Texas Observer” reports that the Facebook accounts in question have “not” been positively linked to prison employees.
One remark said an incarcerated trans woman seeking gender confirmation surgery should be given a “state razor and a bandaid” for a do-it-yourself sex change.
Another account that self-identifies to a corrections officer says a trans offender should get “one to the back of the head.”
