(Houston, TX) — Texans owner Bob McNair wants Andre Johnson in the Hall of Fame after the wide receiver’s retirement.
McNair tells the “Houston Chronicle” Johnson was a star for Houston from 2003 until 2014.
He played the first 12 years of his career with the Houston Texans, where he is the team’s all-time leading receiver.
Johnson racked up 1,062 catches for 14-thousand-185 yards and 70 touchdowns over 193 career games.
He ranks among the top-10 wideouts in league history in catches and receiving yards
McNair says it would “be a reflection on what we have done with our franchise” if Johnson ends up in Canton.
Johnson announced his retirement from the Tennessee Titans today. He also played with the Colts last season.
