(Rogers, MN) — Pop music icon Bobby Vee is dead from complications of Alzheimer’s disease.
The former teen idol died early this morning at a hospice in Rogers, Minnesota. He was 73.
Vee was born in Fargo, North Dakota and exploded onto the pop music scene at 15-years-old.
His career spawned 38 hit singles between 1959 and 1970 that made the Billboard Hot 100.
Those singles included “Suzie Baby,” “Devil Or Angel,” “Rubber Ball,” “Take Good Care of My Baby,” “Run To Him,” “Please Don’t Ask About Barbara,” and “The Night Has a Thousand Eyes.”
