(Austin, TX) — A new poll shows Texas is still in play for Hillary Clinton and Tim Kaine.
The University of Texas/Texas Tribune poll, released today, shows Republicans Donald Trump and Mike Pence leading the Democratic ticket, 45-percent to 42-percent.
The three-point Trump lead is within the poll’s margin of error.
Fifty-three percent of Texans who said they were voting for Trump said their position could be best explained as “not wanting Clinton to become president.”
The field survey of likely voters was made between October 14th and October 23rd.
