(Houston, TX)  —  A Houston man faces up to 20 years in federal prison for plotting to blow up local shopping malls on behalf of ISIS.

Omar Al Harden pleaded guilty yesterday to a terrorism-related charge.

Court documents show the Iraqi refugee once stated that he wanted to blow himself up, adding, quote, “I am against America.”

Federal prosecutors say Al Harden was gathering the materials needed for several bombs including circuitry components and wireless remotes.

He will be sentenced next year.
