(Townville, SC) — The family of the six-year-old boy who died from injuries received in a shooting at a South Carolina school is expressing their gratitude to the community.
Jacob Hall’s family released a statement giving their thanks and appreciation for the “outpouring of love and support” they’ve received.
They said, quote,”Jacob showed us how to love, laugh and smile.”
The Anderson County coroner said Jacob died yesterday at a local hospital where he had been on life support since the shooting.
The first grader was critically wounded when a 14-year-old opened fire on a playground at Townville Elementary School in Greenville on Wednesday after killing his father.
Another student and a teacher were also shot, but were treated and released.
The teen suspect remains jailed on charges of murder and attempted murder.
