DALLAS- An armed robbery suspect is facing an aggravated kidnapping charge after he allegedly took a Walgreens customer in north Texas hostage by gunpoint.
Dallas police say 30-year-old Jose Torres surrendered peacefully after a short standoff with police. Investigators say, after being spotted by police, Torres abandoned his vehicle outside the store, ran inside, and took a hostage.
Several customers and employees were still inside the store during the standoff. Torres is also a suspect in a string of fast food restaurant stick-ups in recent days.
