Suspect In North Texas Killing Spree Arrested In Georgetown

(Georgetown, TX)  —  The man suspected in a deadly north Texas crime spree is now in custody in Williamson County, north of Austin.

Police say 40-year-old Silvestre Franco-Luviano was captured last night at an apartment complex in Georgetown following a brief standoff.

Franco-Luviano’s suspected crime spree involved murders in Dallas and Cedar Hill, including the death of a Corsicana man who was pumping gas at a Texaco station on U.S. Highway 67.  Victim Welton Betts was the first homicide of the year in Cedar Hill.
