(Houston, TX) — Elvis Andrus and Jurickson Profar plated runs in the top of the ninth inning to lift the Rangers past the Astros 3-2 at Minute Maid Park. Andrus tripled in the tying run and then scored the go-ahead run on Profar’s RBI-single one batter later. Adrian Beltre hit a solo homer in the second inning for Texas, which will go for the three-game sweep on Wednesday. Alex Claudio picked up the win and Tanner Scheppers earned his first save. Jose Altuve and Jason Castro went deep for the Astros, who have lost six of seven. Ken Giles fell to 2-and-4 with his fourth blown save.
