(Austin, TX) — Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is suing the Obama Administration over its plan to stop overseeing the Internet.
Paxton says the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers should still be overseen by the U.S. Commerce Department and President Obama’s plan to make it independent is wrong.
He also says Obama is violating the Property Cause in the Constitution by giving away government property without congressional authorization. ICANN says it’s never been owned by the U.S. government.
