(Houston, TX) — The national Democratic Party is now officially open for business in Texas.
Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee was in Houston over the weekend to dedicate the party’s first national office for the 2016 election, declaring “Here is the breaking news: We are going to win Texas.”
A recent Washington Post poll showed, in Texas, the presidential race is neck-and-neck between Republican Donald Trump and Democrat Hillary Clinton. Now, the national Democratic Party will open offices around the state in an effort to help not only Clinton win, but down-ballot candidates as well.
