UPDATE – (Houston, TX) — The shooter at a Houston strip mall is being identified as a lawyer, who was mad about his business going under. Multiple reports say Nathan DeSai started spraying bullets this morning before being shot to death by police. His former law partner says the two recently decided to stop working together because of finances, but called the split amicable. Six people were hospitalized in the shooting, while three others were treated and released.
The Houston Police Department says several people have been injured in an active shooter situation this morning in southwest Houston. Officers who arrived on the scene as it unfolded near a shopping center were able to shoot the suspect. They have not yet released any further information on the extent of that person’s injuries or any of the victims. They are, however, asking people to avoid the area of Wesleyan and Bissonnet.
