Governor Abbott Explains Burn Injuries

KTXT Texas News

(San Antonio, TX) Governor Abbott is finally explaining those mysterious burn injuries that prevented him from attending the Republican National Convention.

While campaigning for Congressman Will Hurd in San Antonio this weekend, Abbott told reporters that he was scalded by hot water in the shower while on vacation in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Abbott says his paralysis kept him from realizing that his feet were burning.

The third-degree injuries made it necessary for him to receive skin grafts at Brooke Army Medical Center’s burn unit and Abbott says the healing has been miraculous.
