Dripping Springs ISD Facing Challenge Over Transgender Student

KTXT Texas News

(Dripping Springs, TX) — The Dripping Springs school district is bracing for a meeting that will bring the debate about transgender bathrooms into a very public forum.

Parents opposed to letting a third-grade student use the girl’s bathroom at Walnut Springs Elementary School say they plan to bring their objections to the school board tonight.

The parents say the board did not notify them before deciding to let the student, who was born male, use the girl’s restroom.

The issue is expected to bring a large crowd to the school board meeting, which begins at 6 p.m.
