(Dallas, TX) — The Dallas Morning News editorial board is slamming GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump, arguing that Trump is “no Republican and certainly no conservative.”
The newspaper has endorsed every Republican presidential candidate since 1968, but is telling its readers that “Donald Trump is not qualified to serve as president and does not deserve your vote.” The Morning News, instead, is choosing not to make an endorsement.
Meanwhile, a new poll shows that deeply red Texas may be turning a shade of purple in the upcoming presidential election.
The Washington Post/Survey Monkey poll shows Hillary Clinton leading Donald Trump by one-percent in the Lone Star State, results that startle both Republicans and Democrats alike.
The last time Texas went Democratic was 1976, when Jimmy Carter carried the state.
