(Undated) — Chipotle continues to settle cases with customers who were sickened by food across the country last year.
Since March, the Mexican-style chain has agreed in nearly 100 legal cases with people who got E. Coli after eating a burrito. But now, one client is settling in an odd way.
An unnamed teen has not only landed cash in her settlement, but also free food. The teen’s lawyer says he’s never seen such a case where someone sued a restaurant after getting sick and requested more of the very food that sickened them.
The client received about three-dozen burritos’ worth of free coupons in the deal.
