(Cleveland, OH) — Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump no longer wants the endorsement of former rival Ted Cruz and says he would not accept it anyway.
At a campaign event in Cleveland, Trump called Senator Cruz dishonorable. Cruz was invited to speak at this week’s Republican National Convention but did not endorse Trump. He was roundly booed by convention delegates.
Trump said that Cruz changed his speech from what his campaign was given ahead of time. Meantime, Trump described the convention as a peaceful and “love-filled” gathering. Trump said — “That was unity.” The real estate mogul insisted that the Republican Party has come together.
