(Cleveland, OH) — The Lieutenant Governor of Texas says the Justice Department should investigate the Black Lives Matter movement.
Dan Patrick said Tuesday on CNN that he supports Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump’s suggestion that he’ll direct the Attorney General to investigate the group if he’s elected President.
In an interview at the Republican National Convention, Patrick said he knows there’s distrust of police in the black community and that some police officers should be replaced. But he said before that can happen, “We have to stop having protesters chanting ‘Kill the cops.'”
