(Dallas, TX) — Passengers leaving today on Southwest Airlines should be aware the airline is still working to correct a major computer outage that forced the cancellation of hundreds of flights yesterday.
The carrier says it hopes to be fully operational again at some point today, but flights were still being cancelled late last night.
The Dallas-based airline says it purposely reduced the number of flights leaving last night so it could fully restore the system for today’s flights. Long lines are still possible at ticket counters, if the carrier is forced to continue checking passengers in manually.
