(Undated) — The office of Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick says his town hall encounter last night with President Obama contains more than what viewers saw on ABC television. No specifics were mentioned, but the network aired about nine minutes of the exchange between Patrick and Obama. The lieutenant governor told the president that “words matter” when he speaks in the aftermath of a police shooting and he needs to be careful not to condemn police actions until the facts are known. The president responded by telling Patrick that he’s unfailingly expressed strong support for law enforcement in every incident and he’d be happy to send him proof in case the lieutenant governor missed it.
