(Houston, TX) — The Mayor of Houston says he’ll release video today of a police shooting earlier this month of an African-American man.
Mayor Sylvester Turner says the police body-cam and cruiser dash-cam footage will help reduce racial tensions when viewers see that the suspect was holding a gun at the time officers fired the fatal shots. The mayor says he wants to dispel the narrative on social media that Braziel had his hands up and was unarmed.
