(San Antonio, TX) — A spokesman for Greg Abbott says the governor is “doing well” and in “good spirits” following skin graft surgery in San Antonio. Last night was Abbott’s fourth night at the Brooke Army Medical Center’s burn unit, where he’s being treated for injuries suffered last week on his Wyoming vacation. Abbott’s office still isn’t talking about how the governor was burned, only saying it involved scalding hot water on his lower legs and feet. The injuries forced the governor to nix plans to lead the Texas delegation to next week’s Republican National Convention.
