Feds Say “No Thanks” To Dallas-Houston Bullet Train

Bullet Train(Dallas, TX) — The federal government is saying “no thanks” to the proposed Dallas-Houston bullet train, declining to oversee the project.

Both supporters and opponents of the high-speed rail line see the decision by the Surface Transportation Board as a victory.

Texas Central Partners wanted the ruling, arguing the train offered connectivity to Amtrak, making it a federal matter. But, the U.S. government says the train is not federal business since it would not cross state lines.
