(Nice, France) — More than 80 people are dead after an attack in the southern French city of Nice. Eden Tinkel was there with her mother and other family, including a young child. They were celebrating Bastille Day when a man drove his truck into a crowd and they say they also heard gunshots:
The North Hollywood family escaped injury, but a Texas man and his eleven year old son were killed. French President Francois Hollande said the massacre was “undeniably” a terrorist attack. The driver of the truck was shot dead by police. Guns, grenades and other weapons were found in the back of the truck.
Eden Tinkel says they tried to stay hidden and just waited it out.
