(Philadelphia, PA) — Hillary Clinton is the first woman in history to be the presidential nominee of a major U.S. party.
Clinton was formally selected yesterday at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia. Speaking to the convention via satellite, Clinton thanked supporters. She addressed any girls who may have been watching and said, quote “I may become the first woman president but one of you is next.”
On the convention’s second night, Bill Clinton called his wife the “best darned change-maker” he has ever known. The former President said Hillary Clinton has spent a lifetime working to make other people’s lives better.
