UT Chancellor William McRaven promises recommendation letters from important people aren’t the only reason why students got into the university. McRaven said yesterday UT looks at multiple factors before deciding whether a student should get in.
His comments are after “The Dallas Morning News” reported UT got letters from influential Texans like former Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison and House Speaker Joe Straus for students who had low SAT scores or GPAs.
