Congratulations to JaCorian Duffield and Bradley Adkins, who went 1-2 in the high jump at the NCAA Track and Field Championships in Oregon this past weekend. According to TexasTech.com, Duffield and Adkins became the first teammates since 1939 to go 1-2 in the outdoor championships, and the first to go 1-2 and both the indoor and outdoor championships in the history of the NCAA. The team finished in the top ten in both the indoor and outdoor season, the first time in school history.

Texas Christian got off to a fast start in a 10-3 win over LSU in opening round action from the College World Series. Connor Wanhanen drove in three on three hits while Derek Odell and Dane Steinhagen plated two runs each. Preston Morrison improved to 12-and-3 with seven-innings of one-run ball. TCU takes on either Vanderbilt or Cal State Fullerton in the winner’s bracket on Tuesday.

Cowboys wide out Dez Bryant is putting pressure on the organization. Bryant told the NFL Network over the weekend that he is contemplating sitting out the season opener if a long-term contract is not reached by July 15th. The Oklahoma State product has yet to sign his franchise tag, which guarantees him 12.8-million-dollars this season. If a deal is not reached by the deadline, Bryant will have to play under the franchise tag or not play at all.

Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors are one victory away from an NBA title after a 104-91 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 5 of the Finals on Sunday night in Oakland. LeBron James did all he could again for the Cavaliers with his second triple-double of the series, but Cleveland will have to win Game 6 at home on Tuesday to force a decisive seventh game on Friday in Oakland.
