North Texas rocked by 4.0 earthquake Thursday

290px-NorthTexas_svgThe USGS is confirming a magnitude 4.0 earthquake rattled North Texas.  The quake happened late yesterday afternoon, shaking homes in parts of Mansfield, Midlothian, Arlington, Alvarado, Cleburne, and Dallas.

The epicenter of the quake was in Venus.  Johnson County officials say there are at least two homes with minor foundation issues in Alvarado.  It’s the largest quake to ever strike North Texas.
