A man who lost most of his family in Central Texas flooding is thankful his son is alive. Joe McComb told reporters yesterday his son was swept about 12 miles downstream when their vacation home was caught up in floodwaters.
McComb says his son was able to crawl onto shore, go to a nearby house, ask for help, then collapsed. John McComb is hospitalized in San Antonio with severe injuries, but could be released this weekend. Joe McComb says the only way he’s getting through this, is through his deep faith in God. Seven other members of McComb’s family, including his daughter-in-law and grandchildren, are missing.
The family dog was found alive earlier this week.
