Authorities in Texas say a total of 192 people are under arrest after at least five biker gangs were involved in a deadly shootout yesterday at a Waco sports bar. They are all being charged with engaging in organized crime and Waco Police Sergeant Patrick Swanton says some could face capital murder charges.
The incident left nine people dead and injured at least 18 others. The Twin Peaks Sports Bar and Grill will also face a seven-day shutdown period from the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission. Everything erupted during a “bike night” sponsored by the Twin Peaks, though police and sheriff’s officials had asked management to shut down the event.
The fight started inside and spilled out into the parking lot, where suspects were met by police who exchanged gunfire. Police collected a number of different items including bats, knives and chains from the scene.
