South Loop Steakhouse goes a blaze, result to be arson

Investigators have ruled an early morning fire at a South Lubbock steakhouse to be the result of arson.  Around 5:00 am Tuesday, fire crews responded to reports of a fire at the Texas Land and Cattle Company, 7202 Indiana Avenue.

Upon their arrival, firefighters were met with flames and smoke billowing out of the side of the restaurant. Fire officials said it took around 10 minutes to put the blaze out.

Tuesday afternoon, the Lubbock Fire Marshal’s Office confirmed they were investigating the fire as an arson. They believe at least one unknown suspect broke into the restaurant, stole some items, then set the place on fire.
