CONROE, TX – Vikings running back Adrian Peterson could be in more trouble with the law for allegedly smoking marijuana in violation of the bond conditions in his child abuse case.
Montgomery County, Texas prosecutors filed for Peterson’s 15-thousand-dollar bond to be revoked and have him arrested again.
While giving a urine sample Wednesday, Peterson reportedly admitted to a court employee that he “smoked a little weed.”
A failed drug test could violate the league’s substance abuse policy.
Peterson has been on the NFL’s exempt/commissioner’s list since mid-September.
He isn’t playing but is getting his nearly 12-million-dollar salary.
The Vikings haven’t immediately responded to a request for comment.
