All-Star Game Lineups Announced

KTXT FM Sports Update Logo(Minneapolis, MN)  —  The lineups for the 2014 MLB All-Star Game are out. 

Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter will hit leadoff for the host American League.

Jeter, a 14-time All-Star, is playing in his final season.

He is followed by LA’s Mike Trout, Seattle’s Robinson Cano [[ cuh-NOH ]] and Detroit’s Miguel Cabrera.

Toronto’s Jose Bautista will bat fifth ahead of Baltimore’s Nelson Cruz and Adam Jones.

A’s third baseman Josh Donaldson will hit eighth with Kansas City catcher Salvador Perez ninth.

Seattle’s Felix Hernandez will start on the mound for the AL.

Pittsburgh’s Andrew McCutchen will hit leadoff for the National League. 

LA’s Yasiel Puig [[ yah-SEEL PWEEG ]], Colorado’s Troy Tulowitzki [[ too-luh-WITS-kee ]], Arizona’s Paul Goldschmidt and Miami’s Giancarlo Stanton round out the top-five. 

Milwaukee’s Aramis [[ uh-RAH-miss ]] Ramirez will hit sixth, followed by Philadelphia’s Chase Utley and Milwaukee’s Jonathan Lucroy and Carlos Gomez. 

St. Louis ace pitcher Adam Wainwright gets the start for the NL. 

The 85th All-Star Game is Tuesday at Minnesota’s Target Field.
