Chancellor Kent Hance to Announce Top Scholars
WHAT: Chancellor Kent Hance to announce and introduce two top scholars during the Board of Regents meeting.
WHEN: 8:30 a.m., Friday (May 16)
WHERE: Matador Room (Room 227), Student Union Building
15th St. and Akron Ave., Texas Tech University
EVENT: Chancellor Hance will recognize two students who received perfect scores
on their college admissions exams and will be attending Texas Tech University in the fall of 2014. This is the first time under Hance’s leadership for Texas Tech to recruit a student with 1600 on the SAT and 36 on the ACT. The two students are part of Hance’s Top Scholars program, which was established in 2007 to advance recruitment efforts and the overall academic quality.
Hance and scholars will be available to the media directly following the recognition.
