(Dallas, TX) — Former Dallas Cowboys lineman Josh Brent is guilty of intoxication manslaughter.
A jury found Brent guilty yesterday for driving drunk and killing teammate Jerry Brown Jr. in a December 2012 crash. Jurors rejected claims by defense attorneys that Brent wasn’t drunk and was just driving fast.
Dallas County prosecutors successfully argued Brent was “chugging” alcohol and trying to get drunk before getting behind the wheel. He could get 20 years in prison.
