(Austin, TX) — The Texas Longhorns are moving in a different direction on defense.
The ‘Horns fired defensive coordinator Manny Diaz on Sunday after the team allowed nearly 700 total yards to BYU in Saturday’s 40-21 loss. Co-DC Greg Robinson is taking over immediately as the new head guy on the defensive side.
Diaz will remain with the athletics department in a different capacity. He previously won a pair of Super Bowl rings in the NFL.
