LUBBOCK – A Lubbock judge has dismissed the last remaining count in former Texas Tech head football coach Mike Leach’s lawsuit, contesting his 2009 firing.
According to the Lubbock Avalanche Journal, District Judge William Sowder ruled that Texas Tech did not violate Leach’s due process rights in firing him back in 2009.
Texas Tech issued a statement saying the university is “very pleased” with the decision.
