A site on Texas Tech campus is now available for students, faculty and staff to drop off their recycling. The drop off station is located behind Housing Services, accessible off Main and Flint and Main and Hartford. Signs in the Physical Plant parking lot will guide recyclers to the drop off station.
Recyclables accepted include plastics numbers 1-7, all types of paper, cardboard, tin, aluminum and textiles such as clothing, bedding, broken appliances computers and similar items. Drop off items must be bagged, in exception to large items like appliances. Cans and bottles must be empty and rinsed clean. Pizza boxes, tissue paper, glass, any form of foam, and anything containing food will not be accepted.
The recycling center is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and is made available through Texas Tech Student Housing and Hospitality Services.
