The Lubbock Police Department is investigating two serious overnight accidents.
The first accident occurred at around 8:00pm yesterday evening at the intersection of 4th street and Flint Avenue and involved a moped. The driver of the moped was taken to UMC with life-threatening injuries.
The second accident happened at approximately 2:30 this morning, and involved a motorcyclist and a motor vehicle. The motorcyclist was seriously injured and transported to UMC, where he died of his injuries.
According to a Lubbock Police Department statement, both accidents are under investigation.
