If you thought Monday was warm, you may want to keep the short- sleeve shirts in hand; Tuesday’s going to be hot! Tuesday will begin on a mild note, with morning temperatures near 60 degrees in the city of Lubbock. There could be areas of fog before 10 AM, especially east of Lubbock. By noon, temperature will be in the 80’s, under partly cloudy skies. Lubbock will likely top out in the lower to mid 90’s between 4 and 6 PM.
Monday’s Forecast
As of 10 AM, Lubbock has already warmed into the 70s. Temps will warm even further as we head into the afternoon; topping out in the lower 90’s between 4 & 6 PM. Winds will be gusty through early evening. Gusty conditions could lead to patchy areas of blowing dust, before winds weaken overnight.

Friday will begin cool, once again. By afternoon Lubbock will top out near 80 degrees, under partly cloudy skies. Thursday’s Forecast
Winter is on its way out as a full-fledged warming trend begins across the South Plains Thursday. Before the short sleeves can be brought back, there is one more chilly morning to get through. Lubbock will begin Thursday in the upper 30’s to around 40 degrees, with more cloud cover than Wednesday. Winds in the 5-10 mph range will make it feel more like the upper 20’s and lowers 30’s before 10AM. Be sure to grab a jacket!
Wednesday’s Forecast
Cold weather will stick around the South Plains for one more day. Temperatures will be below freezing Wednesday morning. Factor in a left over breeze, and wind chills will be knocked down into the teens and 20’s.
Tuesday’s Forecast
Heading in to Tuesday morning, gusty winds and much colder air will continue to filter into west Texas. There will also be quite a bit of cloud cover, especially when compared to the sunny skies that we have been spoiled with over the past several days. Temperatures will be in the lower to mid 30’s across Lubbock, but with winds, ‘feels like’ numbers will be in the teens and 20’s.

Most of Monday will be warm and breezy, until a strong cold front arrives Monday night. Lubbock will begin the day with temperatures near 50. A light breeze will make it ‘feel’ more like the 40’s during the rush hour commute. However, temperatures will warm quickly. By afternoon Lubbock will be in the upper 80s to near 90 degrees.

Temperatures will be near record lows on Friday morning. Mid and upper 20’s can be expected across the city of Lubbock. Add in a light breeze and wind chills will be down in the teens, once again.
Thursday’s Forecast
A strong cold front, that moved through Wednesday evening, has ushered in a winter-like air mass into the South Plains. Temperatures will be in the 30’s across the city of Lubbock when you head out the door on Thursday morning. When the 20-30 mph wind is factored in, it will feel more like the 20’s. Low clouds and areas of drizzle will occur through the morning hours.
Wednesday’s Forecast
Wednesday’s forecast is a tricky one. To start, winds are going to be blowing out of the southeast, which will help usher in higher moisture levels at the surface. This will lead to areas of low clouds, fog and drizzle Wednesday morning. Then, clouds should burn off by noon; making for a partly cloudy and warm afternoon.
