Lubbock native and Texas Tech Alumnus, Josh Abbott, took to social media this morning to announce the lineup for the 11th edition of JAB Fest.
The festival is making a major change this year, moving from its home for the past decade, Lonestar Amphitheater, to the South Plains Fairgrounds where the festival will now have two stages for both days.
This years headliners include the festivals host, Josh Abbott Band, the Randy Rogers Band, and Surfaces, an indie-pop duo hailing from College Station that has seen tons of success in the past few years due to multiple viral singles like Good Day, Wave of You, and most notably, Sunday Best.
The festival will also include performances from Casey Donahew, one of the first artists I loved in the Texas Country/Red Dirt scene, Kaitlin Butts, who put out a fantastic album titled What Else Can She Do in April, as well as Corey Kent, Kylie Frey, Chancey Williams, and Catie Offerman, to list a few that I’m personally excited for.
More artists are still to be announced for the weekend however, with Abbott promising on his personal Instagram story that he’s “Working on one more big name.” Early Bird Tickets are on sale now and start at $60 plus fees for both days along with a VIP ($90 plus fees) and a Super VIP ($400 plus fees) option. Tickets and more festival info can be found at JABFest.com.
If the fest is anywhere near as fun as it was last year, we are certainly in for a treat this October.
